Victorian Gold Tassel Earrings

Tassels and fringe were so prevalent in the 19th century one might think they were obligatory. These late Victorian examples are crafted in 14k yellow gold with the strands of foxtail chain each ending in a small golden ball. 

We added the contemporary 14k shepherd's hook ear-wires. They have a firty dance on the ear and go with everything from a tee shirt to a party dress.

Details: Approximately 2 1/2" long from top of ear wire curve to bottom of the drop. Each earrings weighs approx. 5.2 grams. Not marked for metal content but acid tests to 14k.
