Circa mid-1930s, a vintage Art Deco engagement ring featuring a dazzling approximately 2 ct. natural blue zircon. Crafted in 14k yellow gold with a white gold cathedral head for the stone; a streamlined design focusing all attention on the intense color and sparkle of the gemstone. A wonderful choice as an alternative enagement ring, it also adds the perfect pop of color to workdays and weekends as a glittering stacking piece. Measuring approximately 8 mm north to south across the face, with the zircon itself approximately 7.41 mm in diameter, and a rise of 7.45 mm above the finger when worn. There's a curve to the gallery creating a saddle so the ring sits very comfortably in the finger. Currently size 6 1/2 scant and resizable at least two full sizes without issue. Please convo me for details before purchase if you are interested in our sizing service. Natural zircon occurs in many colors and is considered the Earth's oldest mineral, with the discovery of one example in Australia estimated at 4.4 billion years old. The gem rivals any other for it's high refractive index, a measure of its sparkle, and is traditionally considered a powerful talisman healing stone, thought to relieve pain, protect travelers and prevent nightmares. It's also an alternative to turquoise as a birthstone for December babies. In excellent condition with a light vintage patina and some gentle wear to the top of the stone visible with a jeweler's loupe. Marked for 14k on the inside of the band with the design name "Romany" registered to Stern & Stern, manufacturing jewelers out of NY, NY founded in 1904. ❃ The Eden Collective Ring Shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheEdenCollective?section_id=13939721&ref=shopsection_leftnav_1 ❃ We are happy to offer layaway.
