Victorian Coiled Snake & Emerald Pendant Necklace

This beautifully detailed pendant features a textured golden snake coiled around a glowing natural baguette-cut emerald, likely of Columbian origin. Originally an antique Victorian cloak pin that we converted into a more wearable adornment, he's not afraid to take center stage as a lovely solo statement but can play well with others in a curated collection.

Details: The pendant measures approximately 1" north to south including the large bail and 9/16" east to west. Not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 14k. Because of the way the emerald is set we can't get an accurate carat weight but it measures approximately 4.5 mm by 6.5 mm. Hung from a 14k cable chain with jump rings for length at 16", 17" and 18", with a total necklace weight of 5.1 grams.

Condition: In excellent condition with a light patina. There are a couple of light marks on on the back of the pendant where the pin stem was removed. The emerald has several natural internal and surface reaching inclusions.
