An elegantly simple design crafted in 15k yellow gold, this antique belt ring has English hallmarks for manufacture in Birmingham, circa 1891. Set across the face with approximately .36-.40 ctw of brightly sparkling old mine-cut diamonds, accented by two genuine raspberry-red rubies, the gold has a lovely warm antique patina that speaks to its age and the honest affection its orginal owner must have had for it; perfect as a love token stacking or wedding band. Measuring approximately 7 mm wide at the center front and 2.15 mm at the center back. Size 6, and resizable down about 1-2 sizes. We do not recommend sizing up. Please convo me before purchase if you are interested in the details of our sizing service. The belt ring was a popular form in the 19th century as a promise ring or love token, and much like the snake symbolized fidelity, eternity, protection and strength. Consider the form and the symbolism needs no explanation. Unending when clasped, the belt wraps in a circle around the finger of the one to whom you pledge your devotion. In excellent condition with a rich antique patina but no deep or disfiguring scratches or dents, and some age-related thinning. Marked inside the band 15k and 625, with hallmarks for Birmingham, a letter date for the year 1891 and the jeweler's stamp "L&L". A slight color difference in the back indicates possible previous resizing. ❃ The Eden Collective Ring Shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheEdenCollective?section_id=13939721&ref=shopsection_leftnav_1 ❃ We are happy to offer layaway.
